In 1997, the Foo Fighters released mega-selling second studio album The Colour and the Shape. The band's official debut as a fully-formed band following the release of their self-titled 1995 debut album, it was recorded by frontman Dave Grohl and producer Barrett Jones as a demo – which contained enduring classics such songs as “My Hero,“ “Everlong” and “Monkey Wrench.“ Released as the B-side to hit single "My Hero," is a surprising, satisfying and haywire version of the Gerry Rafferty saxophone-pumped classic “Baker Street.” The rework was added to the remastered 10th-anniversary edition of The Colour and the Shape – which featured six additional tracks and offered covers of Killing Joke's "Requiem," Gary Numan's "Down in the Park," and Vanity 6's "Drive Me Wild" – and sees the band swap the canonical saxophone riff for howling guitars to turn in their very own masterpiece.
