Comprising Pedro Tovar on vocals, Brian Tovar on bass and acoustic bass (bajoloche), Damian Pacheco on requinto guitar, Ulises González on acoustic guitar and originally Gabriel Hidalgo, Eslabon Armado met and formed as teenagers in 2017. The Californian group, who have thrust regional Mexican music into the spotlight, are part of an exciting new wave of corrido singers that are revitalising the tradition with their fresh storytelling. Finding a younger audience of music fans, the group rose to fame on TikTok and other social media platforms, which led to a signing with DEL Records. In 2020, they immediately lit up the Hot Latin Songs chart with their first two singles and began releasing albums in quick succession. Released as a single in 2023, "Ella baila sola," which features game-changing regional Mexican singer and rapper Peso Pluma, gave the group their highest footing on the US Billboard Hot 100, where it went to number five.
