Elvis Presley left his indelible mark in live venues all over the world, but his sprawling residency at the Las Vegas International Hotel yielded some of the most famous and career-defining performances of his career. Having first taken to the stage at the newly opened hotel in late summer 1969, he performed 57 shows, sometimes two a day, tearing through his back catalogue of rock 'n' treasures that at the time included everything from 1956's "Blue Moon" and 1960's "It's Now or Never" to 1962's "Can't Help Falling in Love" and 1964's "Viva Las Vegas," and so much more, all yielding endless crowd-pleasing medleys and sing-a-longs galore. This recording of "Opening / All Shook Up" – the latter among is best-known tunes, having topped the US Billboard Top 100 in April 1957 and hung around for eight weeks – captures all the unrivalled live energy of the "King of Rock 'n' Roll".
