"Jingle Bells" is a classic Christmas song that has been enjoyed by people around the world for over 150 years. The song was written by James Lord Pierpont in 1857 and was originally titled "One Horse Open Sleigh." It was inspired by the winter weather in the composer's hometown of Medford, Massachusetts, and the sleigh rides he took with his family and friends. Even though the song wasn't originally linked to the holidays, it became synonymous with Christmas music in the following decades. The first known version was recorded in 1889 on an Edison cylinder and, since then, it has been covered by a wide array of artists from all genres. Such is the case of former No Doubt front woman Gwen Stefani, who offered a horn-laden rendition of the Christmas classic on her 2017 yuletide album, You Make It Feel Like Christmas. Produced by Busbee, Gwen Stefani's version climbed to Number 9 on the Billboard US Holiday Digital chart and its parent album reached Number 16 on the Billboard 200.
