"Can't Stop Rockin'" is a song by ZZ Top from their five times platinum-selling album Afterburner. The Texas blues-rock trio found their biggest success blending their roadhouse roots with the synth sounds of the 80s. Unlike some bands who reluctantly tried to fit in with the MTV generation, ZZ Top fully embraced new sounds and new technology. Guitarist Billy Gibbons picked up a prototype Fairlight sampler/synthesizer while traveling and started experimenting with it. While it might upset some blues purists, the heavy rhythmic drums and bass on Afterburner were created on a Fairlight. A whole generation of young people got their first taste of the Texas trio while watching turtles dance to "Can't Stop Rockin'" in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III film.
