"Chaise Longue" is the debut single by English rock duo Wet Leg, included in their 2022 eponymous studio debut for the Domino Recording Company. Taking its name from the chair-shaped French upholstered sofa, "Chaise Longue" was originally written by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers during a late-night jam in 2019. Featuring minimalistic post-punk instrumentation and sexually-charged lyrics that borrows some dialogue from the 2004 teen comedy Mean Girls, the track was officially released as a single on June 15, 2021, and quickly went viral after accumulating millions of streams in a relatively short time. Shortly after its commercial release, "Chaise Longue" reached Number 13 on the UK Indie charts and even entered the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart in the United States. An accompanying low-budget video directed by Rhian Teasdale featured the duo prancing around in their native Isle of Wight and playing in the front porch of Hester Chambers' mom's house.
