Uriah Heep went above and beyond on their 1971 organ-rich prog-rock odyssey, "July Morning", which was featured on their third studio album Look at Yourself. Written by band members David Byron and Ken Hensley, the song describes a man who wakes up one July morning determined to carve his own path in life: "There I was on a July morning / Looking for love / With the strength of a new day dawning / And the beautiful sun / At the sound of the first bird singing / I was leaving for home / With the storm and the night behind me / And the road of my own." Moving from meditative organ to hair-raising electric guitar and explosive drum workouts, the symphonic epic July Morning saw Manfred Mann make a cameo on the Moog synthesizer and is crafted from an atmospheric obstacle course of soft-toned vocals, shriller moments and air guitar solos.

I believe this version sounds like it's based on the version found on the 2009 album "Celebration," where the band re-recorded a selection of their classic songs, not on the original 1971 version. I do really enjoy this arrangement for karaoke, but it definitely isn't based on the original recording found on the "Look at Yourself" album.
