The jazz-pop standard "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" was composed by pianist George Cory and lyricist Douglass Cross in the fall of 1953. The story of two amateur writers from San Francisco feeling homesick after moving to New York, the song was first offered to opera singer Claramae Turner and then to singer and TV host Tennessee Ernie Ford before crooner Tony Bennett jumped on the opportunity to record it. Released as the B-side to "Once Upon a Time," Tony Bennett's version came out on February 2, 1962, and quickly gained popularity among radio DJs, receiving heavy airplay throughout the country. Shortly after its commercial release, "I Left My Heart In San Francisco" reached Number 7 on the Easy Listening chart and Number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Since then, the track has become Tony Bennett's signature song and one of the official anthems for the city of San Francisco. It was also included in Bennett's 1962 album of the same name.

Sounds just like the original and I love the option to change the key since I was looking for the version from Nancy Wilson.
