"Dream On" is a song penned by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter, originally popularized by The Righteous Brothers in 1974. A powerful ballad about using one's dream as a way to cope with life's many hardships, it was first turned into a hit by the American country and gospel vocal quartet The Oak Ridge Boys, who released it as the third single from their 1979 album, The Oak Ridge Boys Have Arrived. Unlike the original version, which drew comparisons to The Righteous Brothers' early work with Phil Spector, The Oak Ridge Boys' version added the group's trademark country flair and vocal harmonies. "Dream On" is also notorious for being the only single by the band in which bass singer Richard Sterban takes the lead. Shortly after its commercial release "Dream On" peaked at number 7 on the US Hot Country Songs chart and reached number 45 on the Adult Contemporary chart. The song was also a hit in Canada where it topped the RPM Country Tracks chart.

Sounds good can't wait for the Karaoke version, backup vocals don't seem overbearing.
