"Love Street" is a song by The Doors from their second album Waiting for the Sun. It was the B-Side of their hit "Hello, I Love You”. Jim Morrison dedicated "Love Street" to his girlfriend Pamela Courson. The two lived at 1812 Rothdell Trail in Laurel Canyon in Los Angles but called it "Love Street" because the area was a mecca for musicians and hippies. Courson is regarded as Morrison's great love but the relationship was a rocky one, filled with fighting and infidelities. "She has robes and she has monkeys / Lazy diamond studded flunkies / She has wisdom and knows what to do / She has me and she has you." In 1971, Courson woke to find Morrison dead in the bathtub at their Paris apartment. She died of a heroin overdose three years later.
The backing track for "Love Street" is available as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
