Queen's a capella communal anthem of 1977 – which shunned drums for the rhythmic sound of the band, roadies and engineers stamping their feet – was written by Brian May and recorded by the British band as the opener for their sixth studio album News of the World. Released as a single alongside "We Are The Champions", it reached Number 2 in the UK charts and went on to become one of Queen's biggest and best-loved tunes, immortalized in eponymous jukebox musical form in 2002, covered by artists from Five to Snoop Dogg, and turning up in TV shows and movies galore, including South Park, Glee and the Simpsons. In 2009, "We Will Rock You" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
