Unapologetically charged with sexuality and feminist messaging, Peaches piles euphemism after euphemism into the mix while making reference to "Call Me" by Blondie and The Pretenders' frontwoman Chrissie Hynde. But the pain she sings of took on a literal meaning: she later revealed that she wrote the song while she was recovering from thyroid cancer.
