"Talkin' Tennessee" is a song from country artist Morgan Wallen's debut album If I Know Me. It's probably the only song that has ever used 'southernisms' in the lyrics. "Little sweet nothing southernisms, Jack and Seven sipping / Hoping that you're digging on me talking Tennessee." In the song, the Tennessee-born Wallen tries to convince a woman to dump those city guys and give a Tennessee guy a chance. "What you say we grab some tailgate underneath the stars / Catch a few fireflies in a moonshine jar." Wallen co-wrote "Talkin' Tennessee" with Jeff Hyde and Craig Wiseman. Wiseman is one of the most successful writers in country music. He's had over 350 cuts, 125 singles, and 28 #1's. His hits include "Boys 'Round Here” (Blake Shelton), “Believe" (Brooks & Dunn), and the Grammy, ACM, CMA, and NSAI song of the year "Live Like You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw. The backing track for "Talkin' Tennessee" is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
