"Inside My Love"is a song by Minnie Ripperton from her 1975 album Adventures in Paradise. Although the artist explained the song was about achieving a deeper, spiritual intimacy, some radio stations refused to play the song due to its lyrical content. "You are one and I am another / We should be one inside each other / You can see inside me / Will you come inside me? / Do you wanna ride inside my love?" The song was written by the artist and her husband Richard Rudolph from an idea brought to them by writer/producer Leon Ware. Ripperton hits several of her signature high whistle tones she made famous on her hit, "Lovin' You." She also holds a high note out for 26 seconds. Sadly, the talented vocalist discovered she had breast cancer while promoting the album. She was one of the first entertainers to publicly share her diagnosis to help educate others. She died in 1979. Her daughter is the successful actress Maya Rudolph.
