"Take Her Off Your Hands" is a song by Midland off their five-song EP The Last Resort. The band has been called "the saviors of country music" by an enthusiastic fan base who appreciate the trio's neo-traditional country flavor. "Take Her Off Your Hands" is a case in point. The song finds vocalist Mark Wystrach noticing someone's neglected date in a bar. His offer to "Take Her Off Your Hands" sounds like vintage Keith Whitley but there's something in the lyrics, the production, the vocal delivery, that keeps the song from sounding like an imitation. You can hear the influences but Midland has carved out a sound of their own. All three members are involved in the songwriting, with bassist Cameron Duddy responsible for directing several of the band's videos. Guitarist Jess Carson used talents he didn't know he had when he helped his wife deliver their baby in a parked car en route to the hospital.
