Lynyrd Skynyrd set their sights on Jimmie Rodgers's "Blue Yodel No. 1 (T for Texas)" (originally titled "Blue Yodel" and often called "Blue Yodel No. 1" or "T For Texas") in this electrifying 1976 refresh of a 1920s country blues classic produced by Ralph Peer. The Jacksonville hard rockers—who initially assembled as My Backyard in 1964 with band members Ronnie Van Zant (lead vocalist), Gary Rossington (guitar), Allen Collins (guitar), and Larry Junstrom (bass guitar)—included this version on their first live album, 1976's One More from the Road (styled as One More For From The Road), which was certified gold by the RIAA in October 1976, platinum in December 1976 and 3× platinum in July 1987. The LP also contained the live version of "Sweet Home Alabama," which appeared on the video games Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades."Blue Yodel" was later inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and added to the National Recording Registry.
