“Rescue” is a 2019 song by contemporary Christian singer Lauren Daigle, first released in 2018 as part of her third studio album Look Up Child. The song was then released as the third single from the album and became a commercial success for the singer. “Rescue” is a piano-driven ballad about the importance of pushing through struggle, and finding comfort in the notion that there are better times ahead. It was written by Lauren Daigle along with Paul Mabury and Jason Ingram, who also produced the track. “Rescue” was featured on an episode of long-running TV drama Grey’s Anatomy. Lauren Daigle performed the song on The Today Show in October 2019. The single reached Number 2 on Billboard’s Christian Songs chart and went on to earn platinum certification in 2020. That year, it also won Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards. A Spanish version of the song, titled “Rescuta,” was also released.
