Lille-born artist Juliette Armanet started her career in 2014 and four years later won the Album Révélation of the Year in 2018 at the Victoires de la Musique for LP Petite amie. Coupled with Juliette Armanet's crystalline vocal, "Le dernier jour du disco" ("The last days of disco") proved a strong comeback from the French artist, following a collaborative single with Moodoïd (2020's "Idéal") and her own Cavalier seule EP, released in 2016. "Le dernier jour du disco" which reached number 42 on the French singles chart, was featured as the second track on her effervescent second album, Brûler le Feu 2, which was released in 2022 and painted from a sparkly disco palette.
