The doo-wop classic "Those Oldies But Goodies (Remind Me of You)" was penned by songwriters Nick Curing and Paul Politi, best known for writing some of Barry White's biggest hits. It was first recorded in 1961 by the American vocal group Little Caesar & the Romans, whose version reached number 9 on the US pop charts and number 28 on the R&B charts, also peaking at number 69 on Billboard's Top 100 Singles list of 1961. A nostalgia-ridden doo-wop number, "Those Oldies But Goodies (Remind Me of You)" tells the story of someone reminiscing about a past love through the songs they listened to while they were together. The track would reappear years later on American actor Ted Knight's 1975 album, Hi Guys. In 1983, Rhode Island-based band John Cafferty and the Brown Beaver Band covered it for the soundtrack of the musical drama Eddie and the Cruisers, featuring vocals by former Jay and the Americans member Kenny Vance.
