Based on the book by Quiara Alegría Hudes, Hamilton hitmaker Lin-Manuel Miranda penned the lyrics for Breathe, a musical set in the predominantly Dominican American neighborhood of Washington Heights in Upper Manhattan, New York City. In the Heights spans three days and a wealth of characters and "Breathe" provides a musical snapshot, with protagonist Nina gearing up to tell her parents she has dropped out of prestigious Stanford.
