After being dropped by his label due to a few albums failing to chart, Frank Sinatra bounced back with a deal at Capitol Records. His first album with them, Songs For Young Lovers, saw him working with Nelson Riddle, Nat King Cole's musical director. Riddle also arranged Swing Easy! where Frank Sinatra tackled uptempo swing versions of jazz standards, including "All of Me." The song was written by Gerald Marks and Seymour Simons in 1931, was first introduced by Belle Baker, and recorded by Ruth Etting the same year. Frank Sinatra recorded his most successful version in 1954, bringing his signature swagger to the track. Interestingly, the singer was dealing with his own heartbreak during the recording—his wife, Ava Gardner, had just filed for divorce. His 1954 version of "All of Me" stands out, but he recorded it multiple times with different arrangements, even performing a part of it in the 1952 film Meet Danny Wilson. It was featured on his live albums, including Sinatra at the Sands with Count Basie and Live in Australia.
