Forever Gentlemen unites a varied cast of popular French and Canadian artists for a homage to the lineage of 1950s crooners. All of the classics are there: "Somethin' Stupid," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "New York, New York" "The Lady Is a Tramp," "Fly Me to the Moon," and "Singing in the Rain." With lyrics by Arthur Freed and music by Nacio Herb Brown, the song was first popularised by the iconic Gene Kelly in the equally iconic film of the same name. This entertaining modern version of "Singing in the Rain" was brought off the page by Moroccan-Canadian multi-tasker Gad Elmaleh and French pop and R&B singer M. Pokora for Forever Gentleman. Released in 2015, the Forever Gentleman is a compilation album of Volumes 1 and 2 that reached number two on the Canadian album chart and number one on the Quebec chart. The LP also cruised into the SNEP French Albums Chart at number 2 in its first week of release.
