"You Will Be Found" is the final song in Act One of the stage musicalDear Evan Hansen and the eighth song on the official soundtrack. The song deals with protagonist Evan’s moment in the spotlight after his speech commemorating Connor goes viral. With music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the musical – which was based loosely on an actual event experienced by Benj Pasek at high school – was nominated for nine Tony awards in 2017, winning six, including Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for Ben Platt and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Rachel Bay Jones, and won the Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album in 2018. In 2021, the MPAC Performing Arts Company released a video of the group singing “You Will Be Found" recorded remotely, to deliver a message of hope for anyone struggling during the COVID-19 pandemic.
