"So long, Nashville, Tennessee / You can't have what's left of me / And as far as I can tell / It's high time I wish you well." Stapleton wrote the song in 2015 after his performance with Justin Timberlake on the CMA Awards made him an overnight sensation. The father of five explained that buses of tourists started showing up at his home twice a day. Stapleton knew it was time to head back to a simpler life in a rural part of Tennessee with an address not listed on any celebrity maps. Stapleton wrote "Nashville, TN" with his wife, Morgane, who also sings harmony vocals on the song.
