The artist known as H.E.R. was born Gabriella Wilson. Even as a child, her musical talent was evident. At 10, she performed on Showtime at the Apollo, The Today Show, Good Morning America, and The View. By 14 she signed with Sony/J Records. She released a record under her given name but reemerged a few years later as the mysterious H.E.R., an acronym for Having Everything Revealed. When asked about the secrecy, she told NPR, "I feel like this is the era of the anti-star. I really just wanted it to be about the music, and get away from, 'Who is she with?' and 'What is she wearing?'" "Come Through" is a moody, soulful song featuring Chris Brown.
