Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and Bette Midler are the cackling trio of 300-year-old witches in 1993 fantasy comedy classic, Hocus Pocus, which did for witchcraft what Toy Story did for Mr. Potato Head and Buzz Lightyear. The original '90s film is a millennial favorite, with a Disney+ sequel – written by Jen D'Angelo and directed by Anne Fletcher – rearing its head in 2022. A bubbling cauldron of songs animate the official movie soundtrack, which wasn't released until September 30, 2013, and this bewitching rendition of Jalacy "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins's 1956 demonic rock 'n' roller, "I Put a Spell on You," made it onto the screen, with the three sisters – Bette Midler as Winifred "Winnie" Sanderson, Sarah Jessica Parker as Sarah Sanderson and Kathy Najimy as Mary Sanderson – performing the song at an iconic Halloween party scene in the movie to a rapturous response.

It’s a pretty good cover, considering the instrumental version was never released. There are some flaws, thought that are clearly audible in the original version. It would also be nice if the brass sounded more realistic and not like it was done on a computer. Overall, a pretty good cover, though.
