Even the most reluctant of musical theatre fans go giddy for this showstopper from the original iteration of Annie, with its wide-eyed message of sunny positivity and hope. "The sun will come out tomorrow / So you gotta hang on / 'til tomorrow, come with me! / Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love ya, tomorrow / You're always a day away!," belted out curly-haired Andrea McArdle in 1977, sowing the sonic seeds for others to follow, including Ryan Reynolds, who performed a live version of the song on the South Korean series King of Mask Singer. With music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Martin Charnin, "Tomorrow" was originally written as "Replay" (The Way We Live Now) for the 1970 short film Replay, before it underwent a series of alterations and rethinks and became "Tomorrow". Several different offerings of "Tomorrow" were featured in the original 1977 Broadway production, including a spot in the show's finale.

Wish there was more of the melody in this, it's hard to hold the key without it.
