"Silver bells / Silver bells / It's Christmas time in the city / Ring-a-ling, hear them ring / Soon it will be Christmas day," rings out Andy Williams aka "Mr. Christmas" on this effervescent soundtrack to the snowy season. Originally composed by Jay Livingston and Ray Evans and immortalised in the 1951 comedy film The Lemon Drop Kid, the first version of "Silver Bells" was sung by Bing Crosby and Carol Richards in September 1950, with John Scott Trotter and His Orchestra and the Lee Gordon Singers. "Silver Bells" was included on the Andy Williams Christmas Album, (1963) the first holiday album for Andy Williams. The best-selling record yielded the definitive Andy Williams festive classic "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year," as well as a bounty of other gems including "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!," "Happy Holidays/The Holiday Season," "Winter Wonderland" and many winter warmers.
