The Lord's Prayer - Andrea Bocelli & Mormon Tabernacle Choir - MP3 instrumental karaoke

In 1935, American pianist Albert Hay Malotte composed a musical companion piece to The Lord's Prayer, one of the most important prayers in Christianism. Although The Lord's Prayer had been set to music many times before, Albert Hay Malotte's version resonated deeply with audiences all over the world and became one of the first ones to achieve widespread popularity. The song was first recorded by opera singer John Charles Thomas in 1936, and it was later sung by Grace Fields in the 1943 film Stage Door Canteen. Even though tenor Mario Lanza offered an exquisite rendition in the 1952 musical film You're Mine, the most famous performance of the song is the one Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli recorded in 2009 with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during a PBS Christmas program. Andrea Bocelli's version can be found on his 2009 holiday album My Christmas, which reached Number 2 on the Billboard 200 and Number 1 on the US Holiday Albums chart.
