World Music Day celebrates its 34th anniversary

Originating in France in 1982, World Music Day began as a festive way for the French to take to the streets and welcome the first day of summer. Celebrated every 21st of June, thirty-four years later, the event is now celebrated in over 120 countries around the world.

The objective: spread the music and have some fun! Musicians of all backgrounds, levels and genres, take to the street to provide free concerts, open jam sessions and even practice time, all to the listening pleasure of the public.
