5 things that singers neglect
Between singing on key, singing the right words and paying attention to on-stage presence, there's a long list of things that singers need to keep in mind. We're highlighting five that are often forgotten but should never be neglected!
Poor health care

Poor song choice
Just as there are all walks of life, so too are there all walks of singers. Skipping warm up
The voice is a muscle and like any muscle it must be worked for optimal performance. In order to protect it from strain or damage, warming up is crucial. Several quick exercises exist to make sure that you are fired up and ready to go when the time comes. Here are a few.
Poor articulation
Articulation may seem a minor issue but it is fundamental for proper singing. Articulation can improve tone accuracy, resonance, vocal strength and more. Along with proper posture, it is also vital to breathing correctly as it allows you to fully open your mouth to allow oxygen to pass through. Read more about the benefits of good articulation.
Lack of confidence
Whether you’ve lived through a traumatizing performance, you’re naturally shy or you’re a beginner, lacking confidence is one of the most detrimental of all problems. Finding the right tools, be it practice alongside vocal backing tracks, a good teacher, having the courage to perform publicly or staying positive by telling yourself that you can and will, confidence in your capabilities is required to become a better singer.
