Our 2016 Music Roundup

Just weeks into the new year, the 2016 music world is already heating up! A few jam sessions are definitely in order when you see what 2016 has to offer. So that you don't miss a beat, we've assembled this year's list of world tours, albums set to drop and the emerging artists of 2016.

2016 World Tours

Though yet to be confirmed, it’s reported that Gorillaz and Destiny's Child have a end of the year 2016 World Tour in the works. At age 57, Madonna just launched her "Rebel Heart World Tour" after a four year hiatus, but it ends in March of 2016, so don’t wait too long. Pop vocal group Il Divo announced their worldwide tour and other homebodies packing their bags in 2016 include Adele, Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff and Iron Maiden.

Albums set for release in 2016

After what seems like a lengthy sabbatical, fans will be happy to learn that the following artists have set release dates (or have at least given reason for rumblings) of album releases in 2016: the late and great David Bowie album was released just days after his death, after a more than three year break, Katy Perry, Kanye West, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Violent Femmes (yes, you know their famous song Blister in the Sun), Lady Gaga, Jeff Buckley (a posthumous record with Buckley's take on famous hits from Dylan, Led Zeppelin and others), and finally Gwen Stefani.

Emerging artists of 2016

Country singers, bluegrass lovers and underdog supporters should keep their ears open for longtime songwriter and emerging singer, Chris Stapleton. Recent recipient of three Country Music Awards, including “New Artist of the Year,” we’re excited to see what 2016 has in store for him.

Featured in Apple’s iTunes commercials and one of Spotify’s artists to go viral, American Gospel singer, Leon Bridges has been creating buzz lately for his solo album “Coming Home.”

Garnering much attention for a young singer, you haven't heard the last of 19 year-old Canadian Alessia Cara and her chart-topping hit "Here".
