"Lucky Lips" is a song penned by the songwriting tandem of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. A bright-eyed early rhythm and blues tune about trusting one's good fortune, "Lucky Lips" was first recorded in 1957 by American singer Ruth Brown, whose version hit number 6 on Billboard's R&B charts. Many covers followed in the ensuing years, with versions by Gale Storm, Dottie Evans, and Alma Cogan all making it to the US and UK charts. However, it was Indian-born British singer Cliff Richard who popularized "Lucky Lips" all across the globe, reaching number 4 in the United Kingdom and number 1 in Belgium, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and Sweden. Over the following decades, the song was covered by Swedish singer Siw Malkmvist, Catalan group La Trinca, and Estonian singer Ivo Linna. In 2019, Danish gospel group The Conquerors released their rendition of "Lucky Lips" as a single, featuring a lively instrumental and their trademark lush vocal harmonies.
