The process began in November 2020, with her contract allowing her to re-record her first five albums (with “reputation” happening in 2022). That's When is a previously unreleased song – one of the six "From the Vault" songs for the album – that was written for her 2008 album Fearless and re-recorded as "That's When (Taylor's Version)" in April 2021.
