Despite being released in the same month and year as the iconic Radiohead single of the same name, "Creep" by Stone Temple Pilots bears no sonic resemblance to the Oxford band's love-to-hate indie-rock track. Although there is an element of deep melancholy that ties the two songs together. "Take time with a wounded hand 'cause it likes to heal / Take time with a wounded hand 'cause I like to steal," growls Stone Temple Pilots' late frontman Scott Weiland, plunging into a tarry pit of despair while the band pour a gallon of sludgy grunge rock over his lyrics. "Creep"—which made an appearance in the 2001 movie Black Hawk Down—was one of the tracks on the first Stone Temple Pilots debut album Core (1992), which is considered a bastion of 1990s alt-rock and snapshot of the pioneering Seattle scene. Core reached number three on the Billboard charts and was certified 8x platinum by the RIAA, making it the Stone Temple Pilots' best-selling album of their career.

Very solid (and only) version I have found of this song. I've wanted this a long time, but it wasn't until recent events that I decided to look for this again. Love this song.
