"World on Fire" is a track from American reggae and dub project Stick Figure's 2019 seventh studio album of the same name. Very much like the rest of their catalog, the song was written and produced by frontman and multi-instrumentalist Scott Woodruff with additional input from Kyle McDonald. It was released as the album's first single on June 10, 2018, and features guest vocals by members of the band Slightly Stoopid. Musically speaking, "World on Fire" is strongly influenced by roots reggae, with a palm-muted walking bass line and reverb-laden drums as its most prominent elements. On the other hand, its anti-establishment lyrics openly criticize the concept of wealth in the modern world and society's obsession with money. Even though "World on Fire" didn't make it to the charts in the US, its parent album was a smash success. Just like 2012's Burial Ground and 2015's Set in Stone, World on Fire secured the Number 1 position on Billboard's Reggae chart.
