"Before I Forget" is a song by the heavy metal band Slipknot. It won the Grammy for Best Heavy Metal Performance in 2006. It was also named AOL's top metal song of the decade. Vocalist Corey Taylor said the song is about standing your ground and deciding to be a good person no matter what people say. "The end of the road is my end / It justifies my means / All I have to do is delay / I haven't time to evade the end of the road." The last 18 seconds of the full-length recording include Morse code spelling out Slipknot and a reversed recording of Taylor saying, "You're wasting it." Slipknot is known for performing in facemasks but the video for "Before I Forget" gave fans a peek behind the masks. While their full faces aren't fully shown, through the use of quick edits, parts of their faces can be seen.
