Controversial metallers Rammstein blazed an uncompromising trail for the German rock style Neue Deutsche Härte (which translates as "New German Hardness" and is sometimes abbreviated as NDH), unwittingly birthing the journalist-invented term following the release of their first studio album, 1995's Herzelei. Lead vocalist Till Lindemann, lead guitarist Richard Kruspe, rhythm guitarist Paul Landers, bassist Oliver Riedel, drummer Christoph Schneider, and keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz had formed in Berlin a year earlier and went on to achieve commercial success with their second album Sehnsucht, released in 1997. Industrial metal fireball "Du hast" (which translates as "You Have it") is one of said LP's biggest tracks, having grown in stature largely thanks to its appearance in various movies, most significantly 1999's The Matrix: Music from the Motion Picture, a soundtrack which still holds timeless appeal to a specific generation of music fans.
