"I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)" is a timeless jazz standard famously performed here by the legendary Norma Deloris Egstrom aka Peggy Lee. Originally written in 1929 (credited to Chris Smith and Sterling Grant and immortalized by Thomas "Fats" Waller & His Babies that year), the song was given a new lease of life by songwriters Doc Daugherty, Ellis Reynolds, Al J Neiburg the following year. Peggy Lee brought her distinctive sultry vocals to "I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)" in 1946, which, with its lush orchestration and heartfelt lyrics, captures the essence of romantic longing and vulnerability. "I'm Confessin' (That I Love You)" appeared on the 1981 LP from Peggy Lee, You Can Depend On Me: 14 Previously Unreleased Songs (Glendale) and was later contained on the Complete Peggy Lee & June Christy Capitol Transcription Sessions, a five-CD boxed set spotlighting the work of two titular vocal stars.
