"Traitor" wasn't released as a single but fan support made it Rodrigo's fourth top 10 hit. The song is about betrayal. Rodrigo addresses an ex who she suspects was cheating because he moved on so quickly after they broke up. "And ain't it funny how you ran to her / The second that we called it quits? / And ain't it funny how you said you were friends? / Now it sure as hell don't look like it." Fans have speculated that the song may have been written about Joshua Bassett who was Rodrigo's co-star in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series but that hasn't been confirmed by the singer.
