“L.O.V.E.” is one of Nat King Cole’s most well-known songs. It was written by Milt Gabler and Bert Kampfert and is from the singer’s last recorded album of the same name, released in 1965. The lyrics take each letter of the word “love” and cleverly assign them to a word in each verse “L is for the way you look at me, O is for the only one I see”. Cole also recorded versions of the song in French, German, Italian, and Japanese. “L.O.V.E.” has been recorded by many other artists including Michael Buble, Joss Stone, Dean Martin, and his daugher Natalie Cole on her Unforgettable…with Love album.
