The country and Irish stalwart born Michael Fallon, known by the stage name Mike Denver, kicked off his career in 2003 with the album Wings to Fly and spent the next twenty years building a dedicated reputation and following on home soil, claiming the top chart spot in Ireland for his 2016 offering Cut Loose and receiving the title of Entertainer of the Year that same year. He crosses the pond for this rework of an Ameripolitan song by Chattanooga-born bard, the "Country State of Mind" co-writer (with Hank Williams, Jr.), and Jackass musical regular Roger Alan Wade, who deals out a fistful of wise words: "If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough / When you get knocked down, you gotta get back up."
