Throughout their 10 years of career, the English girl group Little Mix accomplished quite a lot. From breaking a previous record set by the Spice Girls with their studio debut to launching their own talent show, the four-piece has had an interesting journey since its creation in 2011. In order to celebrate a decade of activity in the music industry, they released their first greatest hits compilation Between Us in 2021, which was also their first album without founding member Jesy Nelson. In addition to some of their most successful songs, the compilation also included the new singles "Between Us" and "Cut You Off," both of which charted in the United Kingdom. Written by Lauren Aquilina, Jade Thirlwall, and producer Lostboy, the latter is an energetic dance-pop track that is rumored to be about Jesy Nelson's departure, who had left the group in 2020 due to mental health issues. Shortly after its release, "Cut You Off" peaked at Number 59 on the UK Singles Chart.
