On "Y'All Want a Single," Korn deliver a strongly worded message to their record label, Immortal Records, and Immortal owner Sony Music. "Y'all want a single say fuck that! / Fuck that, fuck that!" yells Korn frontman Jonathan Davis, his thunderous voice morphing into an ear-splitting roar as he lashes out against the label's commercial demands. The anti-music industry takedown "Y'All Want a Single"—which peaked at number 23 on the Mainstream Rock charts in 2004—was released on the nu-metal premiers' sixth studio album Take A Look in the Mirror, which saw the band return to a more abrasive sound and was their last album to be released by Epic and Immortal. Take A Look in the Mirror settled at number nine on US Billboard 200 chart and featured a guest spot from Nas on "Play Me" as well as hidden track "When Will This End," a live cover of the Metallica song "One." Korn severed ties with Immortal in 2005.
