"Boardwalk Angel" is a song by the John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band. The song is from the 1983 film Eddie and the Cruisers. The plot involved the mysterious disappearance of the lead singer of a Springsteen-style Jersey shore band named the Cruisers. Eddie was played by actor Michael Paré in the film, but he was lip-syncing to John Cafferty of the Beaver Brown Band. While the band sounded straight out of the Jersey shore, they were actually from the shore of Rhode Island. But, they had that soulful, sax-filled, Jersey sound that was a perfect fit for the film.
