Céline Dion famously broke into music at the age of 12, writing her first song "Ce N'etait Qu'un Rêve" in 1980 with her mother and brother. She spent the rest of the decade laying the groundwork for her enduring career— representing Switzerland at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest—before dropping her debut album Unison in 1990. Included on her thirteenth studio album Deux and released as a single in 1995—just two years prior to the release of he Titanic-sized "My Heart Will Go On""J'irai où tu iras" is one of many songs written with or by virtuosic French songwriter Jean-Jacques Goldman, who penned and produced the majority of Deux; one of the best-selling French-language albums of all time. The painterly duet, which conjures sweeping natural vistas and grand romantic gestures ("Where you will go, my country will be you / I will go where you will go no matter the place") also features Jean-Jacques Goldman.
