Information Society conjured their very own chunk of sci-fi synth-pop heaven in this dynamic dance bop from 1988, which had its five minutes of fame in not one but two hit movies: 1989 slacker comedy Loverboy and 2000's American Psycho, specifically in a club scene featuring protagonist Patrick Bateman. With the "Pure Energy" subtitle lifted from a voice sample of Star Trek mainstay Spock (aka the late Leonard Nimoy) in episode "Errand of Mercy," this party-starting one-hit-wonder from the Minneapolis-St. Paul trio also featured samples of Star Trek's DeForest Kelley and Richard Tatro's (The Android Norman) from the episode "I, Mudd" as well plenty of infectious 'late 80s energy. Information Society ended up with an unprecedented hit in the US; "What's on Your Mind (Pure Energy)" spent an impressive 25 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number three in October 1988, and the single was certified gold by the RIAA the following January.

I have a question - as the vocal backing sounds good but doesn't include EVERYONE's favorite part - the Leonard Nemoy sound bite "pure energy..." If a karaoke version is made, will it (and DOES this) include either the clip or a decent representation thereof?
