Along with The Beatles, the English Merseybeat act Herman's Hermits were considered one of the most successful bands during the US British Invasion of the mid-1960s. At the peak of their popularity, the group led by charismatic singer Peter Noone managed to land two albums— 1965's Introducing Herman's Hermits and Herman's Hermits on Tour—at Number 2 on the Billboard 200 while simultaneously scoring two US Number 1 singles with "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" and "I'm Henry VIII, I Am." In addition to their studio work, the band was also known for their renditions of classic pop songs, which they infused with their signature bubblegum pop sound. Such is the case of the rare recording "Medley (Poetry In Motion, Oh Carol, Dream Lover, Diana, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow)," in which they offered their own take on songs previously popularized by Johnny Tillotson, Neil Sedaka, Bobby Darin, Paul Anka, and The Shirelles.
