"Stayed Gone" kicked open the doors to Hazbin Hotels first season, featured as the first song on the second episode, Radio Killed the Video Star.” This uptempo show tune-style number plays in the series as Vox (voiced by Christian Borle) slams Alastor (voiced by Amir Talai) over the radio, and is an example of a rivalry song. American indie entertainment titans A24 unveiled their first animated series in 2024; an eight-episode adult-oriented show called Hazbin Hotel that lends its focus to the character of Charlie Morningstar, princess of Hell, and her goal of rehabilitating sinners for Heaven. The Hazbin Hotel soundtrack was composed and written by Andrew Underberg and Sam Haft and boasts a seriously catchy stash of tunes for all musical tastes. "Stayed Gone" appears on the Hazbin Hotel Original Soundtrack (Part 1)—which was released in January 2024—and is sandwiched in between "Hell Is Forever" and "It Starts with Sorry."
