“You’ll Be Back” is a song performed by Jonathan Groff from the Original Broadway Cast of Hamilton. The show’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda went for a drink with Hugh Laurie after guest starring on Laurie’s series House. He explained he was trying to write a sort of break-up letter from King George III to the colonies for his musical. The actor instantly responded, “Awwwww, you’ll be back!” while wagging his finger. With Miranda’s spin, it became “You'll be back, soon you'll see/ You'll remember you belong to me/ You'll be back, time will tell/ You’ll remember that I served you well.”  The backing track for “You’ll Be Back” is available with background vocals or as an instrumental on Karaoke Version.
